January 2001
Contelligent development begins.
30th October 2001
Release of Contelligent 1.2
The first production version. (1.0 was the development version number used before this)
4th July 2002
Release of Contelligent 1.4
Mostly an incremental improvement to the 1.2 release, this release contained a couple of new features but no major changes yet.
20th January 2003
Release of Contelligent 1.6
This was a major redesign of several core systems, including among other things category-dependent content (for multi-language and multi-channel sites) and the blueprint system which allowed the code-less construction of complex types.
Also, this release got rid of the "property bloat" of the earlier versions (check out the 1.4 screenshots to the right to see an example of that).
19th April 2004
Release of Contelligent 1.8
After a lot of development time spent stabilizing the new architecture introduced in the 1.6 release, this version brought a couple of new features again, including improved cooperation in edit contexts (through "Shared Locks") and significantly better handling of package upgrades.
7th October 2004
Release of Contelligent 9.0
After noticing that we were slowly running out of version numbers, we changed the internal 1.9 designation to 9.0. To make sure this would feel like a new major release, we included several new features like full transparent Single-Sign-On through Kerberos and an improved in-page exception handling mechanism. Also, a lot of time was spent on performance tuning, making this release a lot faster than 1.8.
31st October 2006
Release of Contelligent 9.1
